On Sunday 10 October 2010 we celebrated our Harvest Services. In support of  Ruth Wilson, a Mission Partner serving in The Gambia, we collected sewing equipment to help in her plans to introduce dressmaking classes to the women with whom she is working. The church was decorated with the many items that had been contributed. Have a look at some photographs.

The harvest offering was divided between two projects:

  • Derek Cottney, who will be travelling to Haiti after Christmas as part of a team with MMS Ireland. Find out more about Derek’s trip to Haiti.
  • the container ministry that is hoping to purchase a container which will be refurbished into a joinery workshop, filled and shipped to Togo where it will be installed in a remote location and will provide a facility for training young men in the basics of joinery. A new container costs £1200.
