From Friday 29 April to Sunday 1 May, 33 young people plus leaders headed off once again to Greenhill YMCA in Newcastle. Throughout the weekend various sessions carried on with the Freedom in Christ Course that the young people have been following over recent weeks. Comments on the weekend from some of young people included: ‘the activities were good craic’ ‘laser quest was really good; we had war paint on our faces’, ‘it was a good mix of fun, fellowship, food and football!’, ‘making roisin (aka raisin) bread was really cool’, watching Sammy fail at bouldering was good bant!’ and ‘wearing a gillie suit makes laser quest even more fun!’. No mention of how much or how little sleep was had!
