As part of our prayers for others and ourselves on Easter Sunday we were all given a cross made of sandpaper to help symbolise ‘the rough times’. Our response was to take these prayers to God, leaving them in the sand.
We were then reminded, as the well known poem describes, that in our journey through life, in the rough times, when there is only one set of footprints in the sand it is then that God carries us.
