Each year, the Dock Cafe at the scenic Titanic Quarter plays host to the members of Sydenham Methodist who volunteer within the life of the church and within the surrounding community. It is a night to give back to those that have taken the time out of their day to day lives to use their skills and abilities to glorify our God. He has provided those within the church with such wonderful gifts and talents which have been and are so inspiring to each one of us. It is a night where the volunteers have an opportunity to come together and to share in the work that God has been doing in and around Sydenham Methodist, to share stories of how the church is developing and changing, providing God with his rightful position of being the centre of all we do. For it is not us who changes the church, but God. He is the one that calls us to use our gifts and talents in order to make a difference, for that we are thankful. The Volunteers evening enables us, as a church, as servants of God, to be made aware of how wonderful our God is and the ways that he can work through and within each one of us. It is a truly refreshing experience, a night that is worth opening both your eyes and your hearts to!

‘For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose.’
